A brand is like an enduring promise that needs to be fulfilled continuously. Miele adheres to this promise with the utmost commitment. For more than 107 years, Miele stands for highest product quality. Miele—that means durability, reliability, security and peace of mind. As part of this philosophy, Miele avows itself to Germany as its center of production. Ninety percent of the total value creation is generated here. "Made in Germany" is a promise of quality and Miele strives to fulfill the high requirements of our customers and provide them with appliances of the highest quality and tested durability to make their lives more comfortable.
One of Miele's core values is its products' durability.
The durability of Miele washing machines was recently validated by an endurance test commissioned by Germany's leading "wfk" laundry research institute.
The results of this independent study showed clearly that Miele washing machines were the only ones which were still in proper working condition after an excrutiating 4995-cycle endurance test equating to 20 years of service.
"Without the intervention of a service technician, only the three Miele machines survived the test in working order. On all the other appliances defects and failures occurred which in some cases were numerous and required a service call-out and even resulted in the premature termination of testing", states the survey.
About the Good Housekeeping Seal

These judgments are the basis of the Good Housekeeping Consumers’ Refund or Replacement Policy.
This is Good Housekeeping's LIMITED WARRANTY: If any product that bears our Seal or is advertised in this issue* (with certain exceptions described below) proves to be defective within two years from the date it was first sold to a consumer by an authorized retailer, we, Good Housekeeping, will replace or repair the product or refund the purchase price. What To Do
If you believe such a defect exists, write to: Consumer Services & Seal Coordinator, Good Housekeeping Magazine, 300 West 57th Street, New York, NY 10019. Please inform us of any defect as soon as possible. We will send you a complaint form to return. The form asks you to describe the product and tell where and when it was bought, the price paid, and the problem you had. You will be asked to provide an itemized receipt. If the product is defective, we will replace or repair it, if possible, or refund to you the purchase price. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights, which vary from state to state. If the manufacturer or retailer of the product has already reimbursed you for the purchase price, replaced or repaired the product, we will consider the matter resolved and the warranty will not apply. The warranty also will not apply if you have taken any action that would preclude us from inspecting any product that has been installed on your premises.
